Inheritance Fraud
Inheritance fraud is a serious issue that can rob rightful heirs of their inheritance and tarnish the legacy of the deceased. At Levin Law Group, PLLC, we understand the emotional and financial toll that inheritance fraud can take on families. Our experienced attorneys are dedicated to uncovering and combating fraudulent activities that undermine the rightful distribution of an estate. We represent beneficiaries, fiduciaries and parties accused of civil inheritance fraud. We require a $5,000 retainer to get started. Below is a list of some of the inheritance fraud cases we can assist clients with:
TYPES OF INHERITNCE FRAUD
- Forgery of Signatures: A relative or other individual forges the deceased’s signature on a will, changing the terms to benefit themselves.
- Fraudulent Fiduciary Actions: An executor, Administrator, Trustee or other Fiduciary withholds information about assets from the beneficiaries or transfers assets to themselves without proper authority.
- Undue Influence Over a Vulnerable Individual: A caregiver convinces an elderly person to rewrite their will, leaving everything to the caregiver instead of the rightful heirs.
- Impersonation of a Deceased Relative: A person pretends to be a long-lost relative to claim a share of the inheritance.
- Asset Concealment: An executor or trustee hides or undervalues assets to reduce the amount distributed to other heirs.
