A Power of Attorney (“POA”) allows you (the “Principal”) to allow a third party (the “Agent”) to sign certain financial documents or conduct certain transactions on your behalf.
WHAT CAN I USE A POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR?
A POA can be used to conduct any financial transaction, including insurance, banking, real estate, etc. The POA can be limited to certain transactions or unlimited in scope.
POWER OF ATTORNEY V HEALTHCARE PROXY
A POA allows an agent to conduct financial business on behalf of the Principal. A Medical Power of Attorney (aka Healthcare Proxy) allows an agent to make healthcare decisions on behalf of the Principal when the Principal cannot make those decisions him or herself.

HOW MUCH IS A POWER OF ATTORNEY?
We charge $250 for a Power of Attorney.
DO I NEED AN ATTORNEY TO DRAFT A POWER OF ATTORNEY?
Legally, you do not need an attorney to draft a power of attorney. However, in order for a Power of Attorney to be legally valid, it has to follow the exact specifications of the law. Failure to follow the exact statutory requirements will result in the power of attorney not being accepted.
