Mechanic’s Lien Amendment – $500+

New York

In New York, a mechanic’s lien can be amended only as follows:

Within 60 days of the filing of the original lien upon 20 days notice to all the parties, OR
With court permission.

The amount of the lien CANNOT be increased. An amendment CANNOT be filed to correct a defective filing.
